Batman Beyond Settles Tony Stark vs Bruce Wayne

Since both characters are billionaires without inherent superpowers who use their wealth to develop a method to fight evil in their respective worlds, the debate over who is better between Batman and Iron Man has raged for decades—but an issue of Batman Beyond proves that Iron Man is superior.


Tony Stark first became Iron Man after he was captured as a prisoner of war and developed a suit that could keep him alive following a nearly fatal injury. Since then, he continuously created better versions of his original design until he was successful in developing an entire army of his suits that he can control remotely in what's known as the Iron Legion. Bruce Wayne, on the other hand, refined his body and mind rather than just his suit upon his entrance into the superhero world. Bruce trained with the greatest masters of basically every kind of martial art to make himself the pinnacle of what human beings are capable of. However, in the neo-tech future of Batman Beyond, Bruce is a lot older and can no longer put his body through the abuse that is necessary to be Batman, so he tries to create a new way to be the superhero he once was by seemingly taking a page out of Iron Man’s book, but his version is far less effective. In Batman Beyond Vol. 3 #4 by Adam Beechen and Ryan Benjamin, Bruce Wayne unleashes—for the first time—a project he has been working on: an army of life sized Bat-Bots that he can control from the Batcave. In this issue, Bruce is using his robots to track down a copycat of Hush. When he finds him, he uses the bots to try and take him down, but they are pretty swiftly defeated by the villain. The controlling mechanisms were glitchy and bots themselves weren’t reinforced with strong enough armor, making it so Hush could easily rip off the chest plate and expose the power source, rendering them useless almost immediately. Given that these bots were of Bruce’s own design, the loss was a heavy blow.

Batman in his prime may have been able to take down Iron Man one-on-one given his past victories with the DC Universe, Batman Beyond proves that Bruce is nowhere near as efficient and effective as Tony Stark. Even with all of the advanced futuristic technology he could ever want within the world of Batman Beyond, Bruce still couldn’t make a remotely controlled suit of armor that could hold up against one skilled fighter with no powers. Meanwhile, Iron Man has been able to develop a fleet of Iron Man suits with modern-day tech that are vastly superior to Batman’s models. If Iron Man was in Batman’s place during the events of this Batman Beyond storyline, Hush would have been brought down with little effort as his robots would not have had the same obvious weaknesses and laggy controls as Batman’s. Because of the clear-cut nature of this particular side-by-side comparison, Iron Man is a much more effective hero than Batman as Iron Man’s reliance on his own tech makes him a formidable hero regardless of his age whereas Batman seemingly needs to be in his prime to be an effective hero since his tech is way less advanced, proving that Iron Man is superior to Batman once and for all.

Release and Streaming Play Set Firm Day Theatrical to Italy

A move that will transform Italy’s relationship with Netflix, the Italian government has set a firm three-month time window between a movie’s theatrical release and when it can drop on a streaming platform. The announcement was made by Italian Culture Minister Dario Franceschini during a Rome confab on the state of the country’s film industry held by the country’s motion picture association ANICA. The minister said he has signed a law that will extend the existing 90-day theatrical window for Italian films that had benefitted from government subsidies to now include all films, regardless of where they are produced or how they are financed.
