Ms. Marvel directors Adil El Arbi and Billal Fallah say that Kevin Feige is "a real fanboy" who supported their work on the DCEU Batgirl movie. Ms. Marvel directors Adil El Arbi and Billal Fallah say that Marvel boss Kevin Feige was supportive of them working on the DCEU’s Batgirl movie. The duo, who also directed 2020’s Bad Boys For Life, were tapped to serve as the lead directors on the MCU’s latest television series in the same year. Following the adventures of the comic book character Kamala Khan, played by newcomer Iman Vellani, the six-episode Ms. Marvel series made its streaming debut on Disney+ last week and has enjoyed plenty of critical praise. Plans for a solo Batgirl movie have been in the pipeline over at Warner Bros. since as early as 2017. The film was originally intended to be written and directed by director Joss Whedon, though he left the project less than 12 months after his involvement was first announced. Retconned Harry Potter's Only Unique Spell Fantastic Beasts

Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets Of Dumbledore's ending retroactively ruins the one spell that made Harry Potter's Boy Who Lived so special. The ending of Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore accidentally ruined the only unique spell in Harry Potter and nobody seemed to care. After Mads Mikkelsen’s Grindelwald is defeated in his somewhat confusing attempt to win a legitimate election using a zombie qilin he attempts to take one final victim in Credence Barebones. But the young Dumbledore wizard is protected at the very last in a way that ruins the precise thing that made Harry Potter such a one-off. Fantastic Beasts 3 meddled with the Wizarding World in a couple of ways, with the same apparent casual concern for canon as JK Rowling showed in introducing Pottermore's various lore wrinkles. Not only did The Secrets of Dumbledore change Avada Kedavra, making it weaker, but it also, rather notoriously, introduced a major Professor McGonagall plot hole by including the fut

Doctor Jekyll Poster Reveals First Look At Eddie Izzard

A poster for the upcoming film Doctor Jekyll offers a sneak peek at Eddie Izzard in the title role of Nina Jekyll. The film is produced by Hammer Studios and directed by Joe Stephenson. Scott Chambers will star alongside Izzard as Rob, Nina Jekyll’s newly-hired helper who assists Jekyll in her attempt to overcome her Hyde personality.  Doctor Jekyll is based on the renowned Robert Louis Stevenson novel The Strange Case of Doctor Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Doctor Jekyll is the latest in a series of attempts to adapt the classic story to film. Stevenson’s tale has worked its way into a multitude of media adaptations, ranging from the 1931 film Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde to a catchy musical segment within the popular children’s TV series Arthur. Doctor Jekyll’s first poster provides an early look at Eddie Izzard in Stephenson’s rendition of the story. The poster reveals Izzard in an eerie silhouette with a formidable shadow lurking beneath her, likely suggestive of Hyde. The film is currentl

Freddy Kruger & Jason Voorhees Get Bizarre Lisa Frank Makeovers

A Nightmare on Elm Street’s Freddy Krueger and Friday the 13th's Jason Voorhees receive cute Lisa Frank-style makeovers in new fan art. The two slasher icons famously faced off against one another in the 2003 crossover film Freddy vs. Jason. By retconning Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th into one shared universe, the film pits the titular antagonists against each other after Freddy manipulates Jason to come back to life and attack the residents of Springwood, in order to facilitate his own return. Freddy vs. Jason served as the culmination of decades worth of slasher films, as it was the final installment in each franchise before their respective reboots. Friday the 13th was rebooted by director Marcus Nispel in 2009, followed by director Samuel Bayer's reboot of A Nightmare on Elm Street in 2010. Since then, there hasn't been an entry into either film series, as the Friday the 13th franchise has been mired in legal battles for the past decade, while the fail

New WB CEO Reportedly Meeting With JK Rowling

Warner Bros.’ new CEO David Zaslav reportedly has plans to meet with Harry Potter creator JK Rowling to discuss the beloved franchise. Much has changed since the final installment of the eight-film series was released, with the IP’s spinoff franchise, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, simply not reaching the same heights as the Potter films did. Add to this the isolating stances Rowling has taken in recent years, and its clear something needs to change. Of course, Harry Potter fans are a patient group, having learned quite early on that Rowling did not plan to write any more books in the bestselling series. As a result, fans transferred their collective enthusiasm to the arrival of Fantastic Beasts, as well as other spinoff projects such as the Potter stage production (which wasn’t written by Rowling) and the upcoming open world video game Hogwarts Legacy. Yet as exciting as these things are, all of them leave out further adventures for Harry, Ron and Hermione. The more rece
