Spider-Man & Daredevil Will Spearhead MCU’s Street-Level Heroes

Kevin Feige reveals that Tom Holland's Spider-Man and Charlie Cox's Daredevil will lead the MCU's street-level heroes roster moving forward. Spider-Man and Daredevil will lead MCU's street-level heroes, Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige reveals. After The Infinity Saga (Phases 1-3 of the MCU), the franchise is rebuilding the universe while also setting up its next crossover event. There's a conscious effort however, for Phases 4, 5, and 6 to be different than what came before it with Marvel Studios trying to diversify its storytelling in more ways than one.

In Phase 4, Marvel Studios officially entered the streaming space via Disney+. Between this and their big screen endeavors, the MCU is growing at a rapid pace. Noticeably, they aren't rushing to culminate their current storytelling. Instead, Feige and his team are developing separate pockets of the continually growing franchise. As MCU Phase 5's slate was officially announced at San Diego Comic-Con 2022, it's clear that all these corners of the universe are being developed simultaneously, including a more grounded one that will be spearheaded by a couple of New York-based heroes.

Comic-Con 2022 has a raft of Marvel Studios announcements, covering upcoming MCU movies, shows, and animations. Marvel movie and TV show reveal from Comic-Con 2022. The return of Comic-Con to in-person exclusive fan conventions couldn't come soon enough, and Marvel Studios has a huge presence in San Diego once more. With Thor: Love and Thunder out of the way, Marvel's Phase 4 still has some huge releases to come, and then there's the small question of what the future of the MCU will look like.

Whether Marvel will announce the next Avengers movie at Comic-Con 2022 has been a huge question in the run-up to the event. Even with Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania, and James Gunn's Guardians of The Galaxy Vol 3 likely to dominate proceedings - and perhaps something from The Marvels - there arguably doesn't need to be too much of a look ahead. But Kevin Feige loves a surprise, and 2019's late Blade announcement surely sets a precedent rather than standing as an exception. But quite what the twist ending will be is anyone's guess.

Marvel's Comic-Con panel, the studio revealed exactly what the future of the MCU will look like right through to 2025. On top of announced properties, Kevin Feige revealed a running order for upcoming TV shows and movies and announced the name of the second MCU era as the Multiverse Saga. That presumably takes in Phases 4, 5 and 6, and will, at least partly, be framed around the Kang storyline first established in Loki, season 1.

Marvel Studios Hall H presentation which Screen Rant's own Ash Cross hosted, Feige spoke with MTV News and discussed these various pockets in the MCU. He cited that the supernatural corner of the universe is inhabited by Doctor Strange and eventually, Blade. There's the cosmic side where Pip the Troll and Eros from the Eternals will return, as well as, the Guardians of the Galaxy. Then, there's the street-level part of their storytelling which will be led by Spider-Man and Daredevil as Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock officially debuts in the MCU via his own Disney+ show topplaywriting.com
