Stranger Things theory, new fan art imagines the much-loved character Eddie Munson returning as a vampire. With its highly anticipated season 4 having finally hit screens earlier this summer, audiences returned to the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana in droves, making Stranger Things season 4 Netflix's most-watched English language show ever. Season 4 saw the return of the show's beloved ensemble cast, while also introducing a host of new faces as the gang came up against the evil Vecna.

Joseph Quinn, who starred as Eddie Munson the loveable leader of Hawkins high's Dungeons & Dragons club. The season put a major focus on Eddie, who was vilified by the citizens of Hawkins after he was wrongly believed to have been behind Vecna's string of gruesome murders. Eddie's story culminated with an epic performance of Metallica's "Master of Puppets" before he was attacked by a hoard of demobats during a heroic moment of self-sacrifice. Having immediately established himself as one of the most beloved characters across all of Stranger Things, various tributes have since emerged for Eddie, with many hoping that they have yet to see the last of him.

Stranger Things 5 As A Villain One scene in season 4 volume 2 teased how Eddie Munson can return in Stranger Things season 5 that makes the fan-favorite character a villain. Eddie Munson could return in Stranger Things season 5, and one detail in season 4, volume 2, set up a villainous turn. The massive ensemble cast of Stranger Things grew in season 4 as the storyline in Hawkins meant the introduction of Eddie Munson. The leader of the Hellfire Club was the prime suspect for killing Chrissy and worked with Dustin and others to try and stop Vecna, who was really behind the murders. The end result was Eddie Munson becoming a fan-favorite character in Stranger Things season 4, leading viewers to hope he would return in season 5.

Stranger Things season 4, volume 2's episodes gave Eddie a different fate, though. He returned to the Upside Down as part of the plan to defeat Vecna. Eddie paired up with Dustin to draw the attention of the Demobats away from Nancy, Steve, and Robin as they went to kill Vecna. The plan worked in regards to Eddie's guitar solo in the Upside Down creating a distraction, but he went a step further to save Dustin. Eddie continued to draw attention to himself so the Demobats would follow him, leading to the swarm attacking him. Eddie Munson died in Stranger Things season 4, due to the injuries he sustained. Due to the definitive events of Eddie's death, it is widely believed that his time with the show could be done. However, the fan response to Joseph Quinn's character could mean that he returns in some form. There is plenty of speculation this will happen since Quinn is open to returning as Eddie Munson in Stranger Things season 5, even if it is just for a cameo. While that might be the easiest way to give viewers a bit more of the fan-favorite season 4 character, the song choice for Eddie's Upside Down guitar solo could tease his return as a villain.

Quinn's character, fans have now shared some of their fantastic art inspired by a popular Stranger Things season 5 fan theory. The various pieces of art imagine Eddie as a vampire, with each depicting him with different vampiric characteristics. Each of the pieces also shows Eddie in his now-iconic Hellfire Club t-shirt, with some even picturing him with gigantic wings, and one imagining him coming back.

Eddie's dramatic death sequence could actually be leading to something more. The theory suggests that Eddie could return in Stranger Things season 5 as Vecna's right-hand man from D&D lore, Kas the Vampire, a character that was briefly mentioned during the Hellfire club's D&D session in one of season 4's earlier episodes. While the theory remains purely speculative at this stage, many are hoping to see Eddie appear in some capacity in Stranger Things season 5.
