MCU Phase 2 Secretly Explains Vision's Multiverse Of Madness

Vision's absence from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was already secretly explained, all the way back during Phase 2 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Paul Bettany graduated from the voice of Jarvis to the synthezoid superhero Vision in Avengers: Age of Ultron, which included the tease of his relationship with Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) that would define much of his future. After playing a major role in WandaVision, though, it was quite surprising to learn that Vision is missing from Doctor Strange 2 and the continuation of Wanda Maximoff's grief-stricken storyline. Not only was Vision missing from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but he was barely even thought about during the movie. Scarlet Witch's mission is to be reunited with her children after the Westview anomaly ending took them away. Based on Wanda and Vision's past relationship as well as White Vision's existence in the MCU, it feels strange that she doesn't also look thro...

New Look At Samaritan Sylvester Stallone's Retired Superhero

Sylvester Stallone is a grizzled old retired superhero in a new image from the long-awaited movie Samaritan. Stallone of course became a screen legend playing the underdog boxer Rocky Balboa and the underdog soldier John Rambo in two of film history’s most successful franchises. Now the star will try to make magic again by playing an underdog ex-superhero in the gritty action movie Samaritan. Superheroes of course were not such a big deal back when Stallone was raking in huge money as a worldwide action superstar in the 1980s and 1990s. But the Hollywood landscape has definitely changed in the last few decades, and Stallone has been forced to adapt along with it. The Rocky star obviously has already appeared in one huge comic book movie franchise, playing Stakar Ogord in James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (a role he will reprise in the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3). Samaritan however sees Stallone not as a supporting performer but a full headliner, playing a once-fa...

Hayden Christensen Defends George Lucas’ Star Wars

Hayden Christensen defends George Lucas' Star Wars prequel dialogue. The star first joined the popular science-fiction franchise in 2002's Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones as Jedi Anakin Skywalker. Christensen is set to return to Star Wars in the new Disney+ television series Obi-Wan Kenobi as Darth Vader, Anakin's Dark Side persona. The upcoming series also sees Ewan McGregor reprise his role as the titular character who must protect a young Luke Skywalker from the reach of the Galactic Empire 10 years after Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith. Following the conclusion of the immensely popular Star Wars original trilogy in 1983 with Return of the Jedi, creator George Lucas began formulating ideas for the stories that led to the events of the original films. In 1999, Lucas released Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace, the first of three prequels. They told the story of the fall of the Jedi Order and the Galactic Republic and the rise of Emperor Pa...

Black Panther 2 Star Describes How Chadwick Boseman

Letitia Wright, who plays Shuri in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has explained how the late Chadwick Boseman was honored on the set of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The first Black Panther film, which starred Boseman and was released in February 2018, was a massive success for Marvel Studios both critically and financially, so its sequel has been a major conversation topic for fans ever since. Boseman made his first appearance as T'Challa/Black Panther in Captain America: Civil War in 2016, while Wright first appeared as Shuri in the 2018 standalone film. Boseman and Wright later made appearances in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. Boseman passed away in August 2020 from colon cancer, which he was first diagnosed with in 2016. He never spoke publicly about his illness; in fact, only a few people not in his family were aware of it. In light of Boseman's passing, Black Panther 2 director Ryan Coogler restructured the film to serve as the ultimate tribute to the la...

The Boys Season 3 Teases Some Action

The show’s season 3 premiere, The Boys teases some supe-busting action with a new image. Based on Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson's graphic novel of the same name, Amazon Prime Video’s The Boys was created by Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and showrunner Eric Kripke. The series follows Hughie Campbell, Billy Butcher, and the eponymous Boys, a group incredibly disillusioned by corrupt and abusive superheroes like The Seven and the PR company that enables them, Vought International. Since its season 1 debut in 2019, The Boys has received critical and commercial acclaim for its satirical take on the superhero genre and its real-world commentary. The Boys season 3 will feature returning cast members Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Chace Crawford, and Claudia Doumit. Beyond the core cast of returning players, the series will dig further into Vought's history by introducing the superteam Payback, which is lead by Jensen Ackles’...

Girls Weather Report Scene Reaction Amanda Seyfried

Mean Girls star Amanda Seyfried says she was grossed out by the response to her weather report scene. Rising to pop culture fame in the early 2000s, Mean Girls told the story of a transfer student who decides to infiltrate and sabotage the clique of popular girls at her new high school, known as the Plastics. Penned by comedian Tina Fey and helmed by Freaky Friday director Mark Waters, the film stormed to box office success, raking in around $130 million from a budget of $17 million. Starring Lindsay Lohan as the misguided protagonist Cady Heron, the Plastics were comprised of Rachel McAdams as their infamous leader Regina George, Lacey Chabert as Gretchen Wieners, and Seyfried as Karen Smith. The somewhat clueless but loveable member of the collectively toxic group, Karen became well-loved by fans for her unexpected one-liners. Perhaps her most well-known scene occurred after being branded “stupid” by her so-called friend Regina. Attempting to comfort her, Cady encourages her to share...

Ahsoka Fan Poster Imagines Clone Wars Flashback

A new fan poster for Disney+'s upcoming Ahsoka TV show imagines a Clone Wars flashback featuring Bo-Katan and Captain Rex. Ahsoka Tano became a fan-favorite character quickly after she appeared in the movie Star Wars: The Clone Wars in 2008. Ahsoka was absent from the live-action prequel trilogy but played a pivotal role in the subsequent Clone Wars and Rebels TV shows. Twelve years after her first appearance, Ahsoka was finally introduced to the live-action canon in The Mandalorian season 2, where Rosario Dawson took on the role. Dawson's portrayal of the character was well-received, and with Disney quickly expanding the Star Wars franchise on Disney+, it wasn't a huge surprise when an Ahsoka spinoff was announced. Dawson will be returning to play the iconic Togruta, with Ray Stevenson playing a villainous admiral and Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Ivanna Sakhno in undisclosed roles. Natasha Liu Bordizzo has also been cast as the live-action Sabine Wren, who was last seen at ...

MCU Newcomer Doctor Strange 2 Elizabeth Olsen Praises

Elizabeth Olsen, who plays Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch in the new MCU film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, praises America Chavez actor Xochitl Gomez. Directed by Sam Raimi, this newest theatrical installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe was released in cinemas this weekend to a generally positive reaction from critics and audiences. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness reviews specifically praised it for its horror/gothic elements — a franchise first for the MCU. Not much was revealed about the character of America Chavez prior to the movie's release, but she proved to be the driving force of the story. Pursued by something - or someone - who wants to harness her mysterious powers, she seeks the help of Doctor Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and they embark on an adventure through the multiverse to find out why she is so coveted - only to discover that her pursuer is actually the Scarlet Witch herself. Rounding out the main cast are Rachel McAdams, ...

Red Hood Settles Every Hero vs. Hero

Superheroes, every fan wants to prove their favorite character would come out on top in a fair fight, but Red Hood just offered up a perspective that redefines this debate. A hero’s speed, strength, and abilities are often used to prove that a character has a definitive edge, no matter the situation, but former Robin Jason Todd argues that fans are putting way too much focus on the wrong metrics. Task Force Z places the zombified versions of classic Batman villains, such as Bane and Mr. Freeze, under the leadership of Red Hood. Behind the scenes, Two-Face pulls the strings, making this unlikely team of the living dead into a top-secret task force. However, betrayal by Mr. Bloom sends the team reeling and desperate for new members to stop his twisted plans. As revealed in the latest issue, serial killer Victor Zsasz is one of these new recruits. Here I will inform you of the films that have just been released and can be watched in streaming for free. Please choose the film you like belo...

Batman Beyond Settles Tony Stark vs Bruce Wayne

Since both characters are billionaires without inherent superpowers who use their wealth to develop a method to fight evil in their respective worlds, the debate over who is better between Batman and Iron Man has raged for decades—but an issue of Batman Beyond proves that Iron Man is superior. Tony Stark first became Iron Man after he was captured as a prisoner of war and developed a suit that could keep him alive following a nearly fatal injury. Since then, he continuously created better versions of his original design until he was successful in developing an entire army of his suits that he can control remotely in what's known as the Iron Legion. Bruce Wayne, on the other hand, refined his body and mind rather than just his suit upon his entrance into the superhero world. Bruce trained with the greatest masters of basically every kind of martial art to make himself the pinnacle of what human beings are capable of. However, in the neo-tech future of Batman Beyond, Bruce is a lot o...

John C. Reilly Loves Starring in Paul Thomas Anderson’s Movies

John C. Reilly comments on his frequent roles in director Paul Thomas Anderson's films. Reilly's acting career first began in 1989 with his debut film role in Casualties of War. He gained further exposure with roles in Days of Thunder (1990), and What's Eating Gilbert Grape (1993). Most recently, Reilly turned to television to play Lakers owner Jerry Buss on the HBO series Winning Time. The start of Anderson and Reilly's collaborative relationship began with Reilly's appearance in the film Hard Eight in 1996, which was also Anderson's debut as a feature film director. Quickly following in Hard Eight's footsteps were the hilarious Boogie Nights in 1997 and psychological thriller Magnolia in 1999, all of which featured Reilly and received critical acclaim, with particular praise noted for Reilly's performances. Both Reilly and Anderson's careers have grown exponentially since the release of these now-classic films, yet those collaborations remain some ...

A Worthy Sequel, Even if it Falls Just Short of its Predecessor

2022, Sonic the Hedgehog became an unexpected critical and box office success. Thanks in part to a brilliant comedic voice performance from Ben Schwartz, a return to form performance from comedy legend Jim Carrey and a love of the video game source material that was evident from the very beginning, all combined for one of the year’s biggest hits. A sequel was immediately pushed for development and while Sonic the Hedgehog 2 certainly ups the ante, it does not manage to outpace its predecessor. While the cast of the original film all return, Idris Elba and Colleen O’Shaughnessey voice new characters Knuckles and Tails respectively. Knuckles is the antithesis of Sonic; he’s serious, gullible and a born fighter while not recognizing that his pain is one that is shared by him and Sonic. Knuckles doesn’t immediately see that he and Sonic are more alike than either would care to admit. Tails, while a welcome addition to Sonic’s group and forces the blue hedgehog to become a mentor, feels mor...

Halle Berry Tribute Grade Teacher and Other Mothers

Smartstream21 - The Academy Award winner, 55, paid tribute Sunday to her 5th grade teacher Yvonne Sims, whom she explained has been like a second mother to her, sharing photos of the two of them along with a sweet note on Instagram. "On Mother's Day, not only do I reflect on what it truly means to be a mother — and the importance of a mother's love — I also reflect on what it means to receive love from a mother and sometimes that love comes from 'another mother,'" she wrote in the caption. "Yvonne Sims has been my 'Other Mother' since she was my 5th grade teacher. Without her guidance, wisdom, patience and most importantly, her UNCONDITIONAL love for me in all the stages of my life, I'm not so sure I'd still be here," Berry added. "I love you, Yvonne Sims with all my heart! Today, as we celebrate mothers, let's also celebrate our 'OTHER MOTHERS!' Happy Mother's Day!" She also shared a photo of her hand cover...

Marvel Turns Scarlet Witch Into Of Thanos

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has a hero-turned-villain in the Scarlet Witch, in turn making her a more horrifying version of the MCU's previous main villain: Thanos. Thanos is the biggest threat the Avengers have ever had to face, being the main antagonist of the two-part epic events of Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. Following Thanos, audiences were left wondering who would become the next main threat to the Avengers in terms of power level, and Wanda Maximoff may provide the answer. With Doctor Strange 2, then, Marvel Studios may have provided the answer in Wanda Maximoff. While Wanda, now the Scarlet Witch after the events of WandaVision, isn't necessarily gearing up to be the next main villain in the MCU, she is certainly the main antagonist of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. In the film, Wanda comes to blows with Stephen Strange, Wong, and their allies when she attempts to steal America Chavez's power to travel the multiverse. ...

Chris Evans New Movie Villain

Chris Evans reveals new details about his villainous character Lloyd Hansen in upcoming thriller The Gray Man. Directed by the Avengers: Endgame filmmaking duo Joe and Anthony Russo, Netflix's new movie sees the two reunite with MCU writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. After collaborating on some of Marvel's biggest pictures, the four superhero visionaries have teamed up for The Gray Man, based on the book from author Mark Greaney for Netflix's biggest action film of the summer. Opposite of Evans, Ryan Gosling will star as the skilled CIA operative "Sierra Six," as the two embark on an epic chase after Hansen places a bounty on his former colleagues head and sends the worlds toughest assassins after him. Evans, of course, is best known for his altruistic portrayal of Marvel hero Steve Rogers, a character he embodied for nearly a decade. Since passing on Captain America's shield, Evans has looked to take on different kinds of roles, most notably with...

Cobra Kai Season 5 Trailer Hints Johnny's Crazy Mexico

The Cobra Kai season 5 trailer alludes to Johnny's plan to bring Miguel home, which could be how the two of them and Robby finally make peace. Season 5 of Cobra Kai, which is scheduled to drop on Netflix on September 9, sees Cobra Kai coming to reign as the Valley's supreme dojo chain under Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith), much to the dismay of Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio). Meanwhile, Miguel (Xolo Maridueña) has headed to Mexico to find his father, with Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) determined to bring him home. The trailer shows Johnny will bring along his son Robby (Tanner Buchanan) to help with retrieving Miguel, though their mission apparently comes to Robby's surprise. Johnny and Robby have had a tumultuous relationship, to put it mildly, but the two finally reconciled at the end of Cobra Kai season 4 with Robby seeing Cobra Kai for what it is. Together with Miguel's situation, Johnny's ultimate goal might be for the three to finally mend fences. It'...

Snyder Cut Darkseid Gets New DC

Ray Porter, who portrayed the villainous Darkseid in Zack Snyder's Justice League cut, joins the DC TV universe in the Naomi season 1 finale as another DC baddie. For almost a decade, The CW has been a platform for Warner Bros.'s DC properties, which resulted in the creation of the Arrowverse in 2012. Following Arrow's arrival, The CW has wasted no time bringing one DC TV show to life after another. For the 2021-2022 TV season, The CW decided to bring Naomi McDuffie to screens in her own standalone series from executive producer Ava DuVernay. Despite not being rooted in the Arrowverse per se, Naomi is a heavy Multiverse-focused series, leaving the door open for crossovers down the line. Naomi season 1 follows the titular heroine discovering not only her superpowers, but also her true origin. For The CW, this was the first DC property to focus on a character that is a recent addition to the DC Universe, as Naomi McDuffie made her debut back in 2019. Similar to shows like Leg...

Hulk's Wife Flipped the Most Famous Aspect

The Incredible Hulk is well known for the curse of his powers - but in the case of his wife Betty Ross, that curse is flipped. When Bruce Banner's anger gets the better of him, he transforms into the giant Hulk, with super-strength, imperviousness to most weaponry, and a power level that is directly tied to his level of anger. But Defenders #2 reveals that Hulk is not the only super-strong hero in the Marvel Universe with power tied directly to emotions. While the source of Bruce Banner's power was always stated to be immense levels of gamma radiation caused by a gamma bomb, the exact nature of his powers has varied ever since his origin in The Incredible Hulk #1 in 1962. Initially, the grey Hulk could only transform at night (and he was far more eloquent than his current comics version). As time passed, his transformations were tied directly to his anger (and in the 2008 The Incredible Hulk MCU film, his heart rate) - and readers learned that Bruce Banner was not the only Hulk...

Barry Season 3 Star Finally Reveals the Meaning of Noho Hank’s

Barry season 3 star Anthony Carrigan reveals the meaning behind his character NoHo Hank's tattoos. The dark comedy series, created by Alec Berg and Bill Hader, debuted on HBO in 2018 and follows Hader's eponymous character, a hitman from Cleveland who travels to Los Angeles on assignment but finds himself drawn to the city's theater scene. Carrigan's character is the current leader of the Chechen mafia but has struggled with the responsibility he bears, and although fans of the show are familiar with his ink and associate NoHo Hank as being a good guy, many were surprised by the chest tattoos revealed in Barry season 3's premiere episode, "forgiving jeff." Now, in an interview during Variety's Awards Circuit Podcast, Carrigan is sharing a secret regarding Hank's tattoos, revealing that they tell a specific story. He adds that they are basically prison tattoos and that they have meanings relative to what Hank has been through. Barry season 3 having...

Chris Pratt Reveals Sweet Way His Family

Chris Pratt shares how his family welcomed him home after wrapping up filming on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Director James Gunn recently revealed that production has wrapped for the upcoming Marvel Studios films. With that, Pratt has finally been able to reunite with his wife and kids. The development and production of the film were both tumultuous, resulting in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 being significantly delayed. It was supposed to release in the aftermath of the Infinity Saga. However, due to Gunn's firing and eventual rehiring from his directing duties, the project was pushed back. By the time principal photography was ready to begin, the coronavirus pandemic made things more difficult for his cast and crew. Luckily, when shooting started, it progressed quietly. Plot details are still scant at the moment, but it's expected to deal with the unknown whereabouts of the original Gamora (Zoe Saldana) and the upcoming introduction of Will Poulter's Adam Warlock. Se...

Marketing investment to drive growth of new brands

Boohoo increased its marketing spend by £22m in the year to 28 February, as the online fashion giant made record investments across its multi-brand platform. The investment came despite rising costs and weaker demand taking a significant toll on the group’s profits.  Boohoo reported adjusted EBITDA profit of £125m for the year, a 28% drop from the previous year and flat compared to two years ago. In particular, Boohoo said its higher marketing costs were a result of the business investing in its newly acquired brands. The company has been on something of an acquisition spree over the last few years, acquiring the MissPap, Karen Millen and Coast brands in 2019, and in June 2020 the Warehouse and Oasis brands. Read more: https://smartstream21.net/ Last year saw Boohoo acquire familiar British high street names including Debenhams, Dorothy Perkins, Wallis, and Burton. According to group chief financial officer Neil Catto, there is an elevated level of marketing on these new brands of ...

The Return of the Weird Blockbuster

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness raises the question: Is Sam Raimi the best director to ever be attached to a Marvel movie? He doesn’t have an Oscar like ChloĂ© Zhao or Taika Waititi, the sorts of filmmakers who, if nothing else, win Oscars (their movies really make you think). He doesn’t typically do prestige, and he avoids serious subject matter. But Raimi is also a singularly kinetic visual storyteller—a true showman—and, in his way, a transformational figure in the recent history of American cinema. When Raimi directed the first (and arguably best) Spider-Man in 2002, comic-book properties were a volatile prospect, if not an all-out gamble. The Joel Schumacher Batman movies were a pop-culture punch line, and R-rated Bayhem was all the rage. That Spider-Man surpassed even the most optimistic box-office expectations is only part of the story, however. The fact that a major studio would entrust such a valuable title to a guy like Raimi—whose most famous movie to that point f...

Astrid and Charlie Spin-Off in Crazy Rich Asians

Jon M. Chu’s Crazy Rich Asians released in 2018 it was one of the most charming and refreshing romantic comedies to grace the silver screen in a very long time, in large part thanks to its fantastic cast and thematically rich characters. Now, reported exclusively by Deadline, there is a spinoff in the works based around characters Astrid Young Teo and Charlie Wu, played by Gemma Chan and Harry Shum Jr. in the original film. The Emmy nominated Barry producer and writer Jason Kim will be penning the screenplay for the spinoff. The project is in early development, but Kim gave Warner Brothers the “dynamite pitch” for this new romantic tale and the studio loved it. Chu, Color Force’s Nina Jacobson, Brad Simpson, and SK Global’s John Penotti will be producing the project. It is important to note that this spinoff is separate from the upcoming Crazy Rich Asians sequel which is still in development. However, both the spinoff and sequel will be tied to Kevin Kwan’s second book in the series Cr...

Star Reacts To Andrew Garfield’s

Michelle Yeoh reacts to Andrew Garfield wearing hot dog hands inspired by the movie. The Malaysian actress first rose to mainstream fame in the west for her roles in the James Bond movie Tomorrow Never Dies and Ang Lee's Academy Award-winning martial arts film Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. More recently, Yeoh has played two different roles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe – Aleta Ogord in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Ying Nan in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Her latest film is Everything Everywhere All at Once, which follows Yeoh as a dispirited laundromat owner being audited by the IRS who discovers her greater purpose is to save the multiverse from a powerful entity that seeks to destroy it. In one alternate reality, everyone inexplicably has long rubbery fingers resembling hot dogs, including an alternate version of Yeoh's character. A24, the studio behind the film, even sells hot dog finger gloves on its online store, which the Amazing Spider-Man actor ...

The Equalizer Has Been Renewed for Seasons 3

Queen Latifah starring drama series The Equalizer, currently in its sophomore season, has been renewed for Seasons 3 and 4. This renewal comes as no surprise as the series has regularly been the number one scripted series for its Sunday night time slot on the network. The Equalizer is a reboot of the classic 80s television series of the same name created by Richard Lindheim and Michael Sloan. The original series followed Edward Woodward as Robert McCall, a retired intelligence agent who becomes a private detective. This series sees Latifah as Robyn McCall, a single mother with “a mysterious past” who uses her skills to help and protect those with nowhere to turn. Latifah’s series is also preceded by a film series reboot of the original series starring Denzel Washington. The Equalizer premiered on February 21, 2021, and was a quick hit. The show is Sunday’s #1 scripted series, averages 9.46 million viewers each week, and to date, has amassed about “1.2 billion potential social media i...

Nightwing & Starfire's Son is More Superman

Superman is so much more than Clark Kent, which is why Nightwing and Starfire's son Jake deserves the mantle next. More than just powerful, Jake represents the hope and optimism which every Man of Steel should strive for. Though Nightwing is, justifiably, most associated with Batman, Superman is just as much a mentor as the Dark Knight. It's easy to forget that Superman gave Nightwing the idea for his name. In a way, Dick Grayson is the natural combination of Superman and Batman. Dick has Batman's lack of powers and critical thinking skills combined with Superman's boundless optimism and ability to inspire hope in others. On the other hand, whatever powers Ngihtwing lacks are more than made up for by Starfire. While no one would mistake her for a Kryptonian, her super-strength, flight, and energy beams do give her more than a few of the Man of Tomorrow's most famous abilities. While the two are currently broken up, there are several alternate futures Nightwing and S...

Dragon Ball's Vegeta & Trunks Potara Is Literally

Over the years, Dragon Ball’s fusions have become a core part of the series’ identity, with many of the recurring fusions such as Gogeta, Vegito, and Gotenks consistently being among the most popular characters of all time. There are, however, several fusions which have only appeared once or twice in the annals of either Dragon Ball Heroes or other video game what-if scenarios. One of these fusions is the godlike, and currently undefeated, Vegeks, a Potara fusion between Xeno Trunks and Vegeta. In chapter 3 of Super Dragon Ball Heroes: Dark Demon Realm Mission, Xeno Trunks and Vegeta are sent back to the past in order to investigate disturbances throughout history. The father-son duo end up in the era of the Cell Games, and arrive to find the Z-Fighters completely destroyed by Cell and his new Dark Dragon Ball fusion. At first it seems like Vegeta in just his base form is more than enough to handle Cell, even with his new power, but the Saiyan prince is quickly caught off guard by a ha...

Adam Sandler Confirms New Movie

Adam Sandler has officially confirmed his reunion with Uncut Gems directors Josh and Benny Safdie (collectively known as the Safdie brothers) on a new film project. Sandler made a name for himself starring in comedies during the '90s and more recently in his straight-to-streaming productions, but his role as the gambling-addicted NYC jeweler Howard Ratner in Uncut Gems proved the actor had the chops to take more dramatic roles. The 2019 crime-thriller was a massive success with critics, and despite being snubbed at the Oscars, Sandler and the Safdie brothers still managed to pick up Independent Spirit Awards for Best Male Lead and Best Director respectively. Rumors were already swirling earlier in April that Sandler was teaming up with the Safdies again to make a new movie that so far has kept all plot and production details under wraps. Sandler himself confirmed exclusively to EW that the rumors were true that he was working on a new movie with the Safdies, but he kept tight-lippe...
